Railroad Safety

A reminder for people to be a little more cautious at train stations. Inspired by the viral "Dumb Ways to Die" video created by an Australian railroad company. Compared to the happily singing characters in the video, however, I took a slightly more realistic approach.

The arm and smartphone were modeled in Modo. The skin texture (including the blood) was painted in Substance Painter. I photographed the railroad platform on a cloudy day (to avoid shadows) and then transformed the photo afterward from day to night. Final compositing was done in Affinity Photo.
