Lego Evolution
The evolution of life recreated in Lego. From the first cells to the modern human, an attempt to tell the history of modernity within nine minutes. This Lego stop-motion film (brickfilm) currently has over four million views on YouTube!
The film was shot at eight frames per second, with a total of almost 4000 photos. Editing and sound design were done in Adobe Premiere. The production took about six months.
The video went surprisingly viral and sparked many passionate debates about the origin of life in the YouTube comments section. Lego Evolution was internationally very well received and even won an Audience Award and an Honorable Mention at the 2016 Youth Film Festival in Nuremberg.
Some viewers even created fan films!
